Samsung is looking to revamp the mini notebook computer market with there N110 and N120.  This new line of mini notebook will be great addition to their product line.  These new notebooks are set to cost $469 and $459 respectively.

On Wednesday night it seems Comcast.net may be under attack by hackers. I was at the site just recently and I noticed that it was just a search engine rather than the usual home page. Today it was reported that the site was down for some time this morning and now just up as a search engine.

The strange thing about the site now is that it has me logged in as c-lpotts for some reason, which may indicate that the site is still be compromised. Also none of the links seems to work properly, leaving this weird in my stomach. Hopefully they will resolve this quickly and find what the problem is.

Comcast has been using state of the art technology to keep their servers safe, yet they seem to have allowed someone or something through.

Netflix has unveiled a new TV-set box giving users the power to watch thousands of movies right on their TVs for free. Netflix has been throwing this idea around for years and now they are ready to hit the public with their new product.

The Netflix player made by Roku will be included in with subscribers monthly plan at no extra cost. The player itself will cost $99 giving users the power to wirelessly transfer movies.

“We’re excited to bring the first Netflix ready device to the market,” said Anthony Wood, CEO and founder of Roku. “The seamless integration of the Netflix service into our player has resulted in true ease of use for the consumer. Now, streaming video isn’t limited to people sitting in front of the PC; it’s ready for the TV in the living room.”

Netflix is a little behind compared to most of its competition like Apple and Microsoft, but overall it is a great move for the company.

“The key breakthroughs of The Netflix Player by Roku are simplicity and cost,” said Reed Hastings, chairman and CEO of Netflix. “First, it allows consumers to use the full power of the Netflix Web site to choose movies for their instant Queue, and then automatically displays only those choices on the TV screen. That’s a major improvement versus the clutter of trying to choose from 10,000 films on the TV. Second, there are no extra charges and no viewing restrictions. For a one-time purchase of $99, Netflix members can watch as much as they want and as often as they want without paying more or impacting the number of DVDs they receive.”

This product may offer extra incentive to consumers looking for inexpensive ways to get there favorite movies.
