Samsung is looking to revamp the mini notebook computer market with there N110 and N120.  This new line of mini notebook will be great addition to their product line.  These new notebooks are set to cost $469 and $459 respectively.

Today has been identified as free donuts day here in America according to Krispy Creme donut shop.  Customers who visit participating Krispy Kreme retail locations will get one free doughnut of their choice.

The event originally started way back in 1938 as a fundraiser for the Chicago Salvation Army, the Salvation Army wanted to help the needy during the Great Depression and commemorate the soldiers who passed out donuts during WW1.

The fire started around 4:45 a.m. and damaged more than 40,000 videos and reels, not the worry there are duplicates in a different location. At the studios scenes from several blockbusters have been shot including “War of the Worlds,” “When Harry met Sally” and “Scrubs.

On Wednesday night it seems Comcast.net may be under attack by hackers. I was at the site just recently and I noticed that it was just a search engine rather than the usual home page. Today it was reported that the site was down for some time this morning and now just up as a search engine.

The strange thing about the site now is that it has me logged in as c-lpotts for some reason, which may indicate that the site is still be compromised. Also none of the links seems to work properly, leaving this weird in my stomach. Hopefully they will resolve this quickly and find what the problem is.

Comcast has been using state of the art technology to keep their servers safe, yet they seem to have allowed someone or something through.

Country Music Singer Chris Cagle and his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant was both arrested on Wednesday on charges of domestic assault. Both Cagle and Tant was on their way home when they began a verbal fight that became violent once they got to Cagle’s place.

Seemed the couple was intoxicated on the authorities arrived, and both had signs of physical abuse. They will both have to stay in jail for the mandatory 12-hours before either of them can post the $1,500 bonds.

Chris Cagle is best known for his songs such as “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out,”
“Chick Dig It,” and “Wal-Mart Parking Lot.” His latest release is “No Love Songs.”

ESPN has permanently removed Mark Madden, a radio talk show host from the air on Tuesday. The decision came five days after Madden said this in regard to Senator Ted Kennedy’s brain tumor,

“I’m very disappointed to hear Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts is near death because of a brain tumor. I always hoped Senator Kennedy would live long enough to be assassinated.”

Madden will remain under contract, but will not be on the radio any longer.

Scott McClellan, President Bush’s aide for ten years is breaking his silence and speaking, rather writing about the Presidents decisions over his term in his new book What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception.

In the book McClellan writes about how the president used mostly propaganda to gain support for the war. Using weapons of mass destruction as a cover to create panic for the war. He also goes on to disclose other issues that plagued the Bush administration like the “Scooter” Libby and Karl Rove fiasco’s.

Here is an excerpt from the book regarding hurricane Katrina:

“One of the worst disasters in our nation’s history became one of the biggest disasters in Bush’s presidency. Katrina and the botched federal response to it would largely come to define Bush’s second term,” he writes. “And the perception of this catastrophe was made worse by previous decisions President Bush had made, including, first and foremost, the failure to be open and forthright on Iraq and rushing to war with inadequate planning and preparation for its aftermath.”

McClellan, who has been with Bush practically from the beginning and has always admired the president, went on to write:

“I still like and admire President Bush,” McClellan writes. “But he and his advisers confused the propaganda campaign with the high level of candor and honesty so fundamentally needed to build and then sustain public support during a time of war. … In this regard, he was terribly ill-served by his top advisers, especially those involved directly in national security.”

Seems this book will answer a lot of the questions that clouded the Presidents term and give clarity to why the country took the turn it did.

Today Scott Dixon became the first New Zealander to win the Indianapolis 500. He had just beat Victor Meira to take the lead in the end of the race. Dixon took the race by just 1.7498 seconds ahead of Meira.

“What a day, I just couldn’t believe it,” Dixon said in a televised interview after the race. “We seemed to have a good car and we just had to hold on to it. There were so many yellows it was hard to get into a rhythm.”

The race was slowed down by eight caution flags which caused some racers to fall behind. Yet Dixon was able to make to the end and win.

“This is a very good result for us compared to the struggle we had last year and at the beginning of this season,” Meira told reporters after the race. “Definitely, Panther Racing is back, and the big three better watch out.”

This is a big win for the New Zealander.
